India’s Stuart Binny, left, celebrates with teammates after the wicket of Bangladesh’s captain Mushfiqur Rahim, during their second one-day International cricket match in Dhaka, Bangladesh. AP PhoMedium-pacer Stuart Binny’s stunning performance with the ball, bagging six wickets for four runs, the best by any Indian in ODIs, gave India a sensational 47-run win against Bangladesh in a low scoring rain-curtailed game to clinch the three-match series 2-0 here today.Sent into bat, Indian batsmen produced a below-par performance to be humiliatingly bowled out for a paltry 105 in rain-truncated 41 overs-a-side game. But the pace combination of Binny (6-4) and Mohit Sharma (4-22) saved India from any blushes as they bundled out Bangladesh for 58 runs in 17.4 overs in the Duckworth-Lewis method to help the visitors defend their lowest score against the hosts. The Binny heroics, surpassing Anil Kumble’s record of 6/12 against the West Indies in 1993 in Kolkata, came after Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed scalped five wickets for 28 runs on his debut to bowl India out for 105 in 25.3 overs. But if India’s 105 was lower than their previous low of 191 in Port of Spain during the 2007 World Cup then Bangladesh also sank to a new low as their previous lowest against the Men in Blue was 76 in 2003 at Dhaka.Binny was ably supported by medium pacer Mohit from the other end. Mohit, who was the proud owner of the ‘Purple Cap’ in the recently concluded IPL for Chennai Super Kings, started the rot for Bangladesh after sending openers Tamim Iqbal for 4 and Anamul Haque for nought.advertisementBinny soon joined forces to send innings top-scorer Mithun Ali back in the pavilion for 26 and skipper Mushfiqur Rahim for 11.The rest of the batting fell like a pack of cards as Binny and Mohit had little time to celebrate between wickets.Earlier put into bat, the stunning Indian collapse was triggered by Taskin, who returned with figures of 5-28, making it the best debut bowling performance by a Bangladesh player.Skipper Suresh Raina’s 23-ball 27, laced with three fours, was the best that an Indian batsman could manage under overcast conditions.Put into bat, India lost Ajinkya Rahane for nought off Mashrafe Mortaza but rain soon halted play after 5.1 overs. The resumption of play after three hours did not help matters for the visitors as Robin Uthappa (14) top-edged a skier to give Taskin, 19, his debut wicket in overcast conditions. The lanky pacer continued to trouble the inexperienced Indian batsmen in conditions conducive to swing bowling.Cheteshwar Pujara (11) and Ambati Rayudu (1) were trapped LBW by Taskin.Raina tried to counter-attack with three boundaries but an Al-Amin Hossain-Mortaza combination ran him out.Wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha (5) was soon trapped LBW off Mortaza and Akshar Patel was cleaned up by Al-Amin as India looked straight down the barrel.All-rounder Binny (3) was caught behind chasing a wide delivery from Taskin.Teams:India: Suresh Raina (captain), Ajinkya Rahane, Robin Uthappa, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ambati Rayudu, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Akshar Patel, Parveez Rasool, Mohit Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Amit Mishra, Manoj Tiwary, Kedar Jadhav, Stuart Binny, R. With the Opposition demanding that the Insurance (Amendment) Bill be referred to a select committee, the government on Sunday deferred its plan to move the NDA’s first major economic reform legislation for the consideration of Rajya Sabha on Monday.Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Government would like to move the bill for consideration thereafter, preferably on Tuesday, Naidu said.Earlier, Naidu appealed to the opposition to cooperate in passing the bill, which was listed in the Monday’s list of business of Rajya Sabha.” I fervently appeal to Congress and other opposition parties to enable passing the proposed legislation for enabling 49 per cent foreign investment in Insurance Sector, in this Budget Session of Parliament in the larger national interest.”

DeMarcus Cousins willing to log big minutes if Warriors need “I’m very proud of our team — and in particular all the guys off the bench,” Kerr said. For the record, the Raptors weren’t particularly impressed with themselves after winning Game 1 and weren’t particularly down about losing Game 2.The Raptors knew this wasn’t going to be easy. They also know an opportunity was missed Sunday night, but they weren’t sounding gloom-and-doom alarms.“You guys didn’t think this was going to be a sweep? I don’t know what you guys thought this series was going to look like, but we went into it expecting a dogfight,” Raptors guard Fred VanVleet said. “And, yes, we won Game 1. I think everybody else outside of our locker room was a lot more excited than we were. We understand what this team brings and what type of effort it’s going to take to beat these guys.”Kerr came up with the “Strength in Numbers” idea himself. It didn’t originate in some white-board session among marketing people; it started in the Warriors’ locker room and then worked its way throughout the organization. By now, clearly, the Warriors believe in its meaning.Durant got hurt late in Game 5 of the second round against Houston, in a close game at the time that could have gone either way. The Warriors won that night, then went to Houston and clinched the series in Game 6, then swept Portland in the Western Conference final — and head home after a split in Toronto. There’s no guarantee that Durant comes back for Game 3.Thompson told Kerr that he’d be ready to play, but that’s hardly assured either.Cousins just played 28 minutes after playing eight minutes, total, in seven weeks while recovering from a quad tear. Kevon Looney, who’s been mostly excellent for Golden State in these playoffs, might be out with the chest or shoulder issue that sidelined him during Game 2 — the Warriors said it was a chest contusion, while Looney was clearly grabbing at his shoulder in pain.“We’ve got to go home and protect our home floor,” Kerr said. “And we’ll see about all the injuries.” Private companies step in to help SEA Games hosting Don’t miss out on the latest news and information. Game 2 was the fifth consecutive game where the Warriors got down by at least 10 points at some time in the game. It was the fourth time they recovered and won. They keep getting themselves into messes, and they usually get out of them. It’s not ideal. But if they must do this the hard way, that seems to be just fine with them. New Delhi: Bengal Warriors produced a clinical performance to defeat the experienced Tamil Thalaivas 35-26 in a Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 7 match in front of a packed crowd at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex here on Thursday.K. Parapanjan’s Super 10 (10 raid points) was amply supported by Maninder Singh (9 raid points), which proved to be the difference for the Bengal side that moved to the second position in the points tally. Experienced all-rounder Manjeet Chhillar returned to Thalaivas’ line-up as coach E. Bhaskaran made a few changes to bring more stability to the side. Shabeer Bapu was added in the starting seven to share the raiding responsibilities with Arjuna awardee Ajay Thakur and Rahul Chaudhari. The Thalaivas started the match on a bright note with Thakur impressing with his raids and the defence not allowing Warriors raider Maninder Singh to settle down. But Prapanjan had other plans and his multiple two-point raids helped Warriors reduce theTamil men on the mat before finally inflicting an All-Out in the 11th minute. However, the experienced Thalaivas did not give up and immediately got back into the match, thanks largely to Thakur, who picked up 9 points in the first half that ended 15-14 in favour of the Bengal side. The second half began with only three men remaining on the mat for Warriors but Sukesh Hegde produced a smart raid, taking out the dangerous Manjeet in the process, to start a revival for Warriors.Thalaivas’ experienced players then committed silly mistakes, especially in defence, to let Warriors inflict another All-Out with just four minutes left on the clock. The Warriors defence held firm in the final minutes to seal the victory. Thakur’s Super 10 mattered little as Warriors proved to be the better side in every department.Questions will be asked about the performance of Thalaivas, who are falling short of expectations despite having a star-studded squad.
